Jolly Earns Small
Business Endorsement in Special Congressional Race

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading
small-business association, has endorsed David Jolly in the 13th
District special election. The election is being held Tuesday, March 11.

The endorsement was made
by NFIB’s Political Action Committee, SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust,
which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

David Jolly understands the challenges facing Florida’s small, family-owned
businesses and is the clear choice in the special election to represent the 13th
District in Congress,” said Bill Herrle,
executive director of NFIB/Florida

“After serving
as a congressional aide for NFIB Guardian Award winner Bill Young for over 20
years, Jolly began several Florida-based small businesses and dealt with the same
challenges facing our members. As a result, he founded the Florida Federal
Contractors Association and worked to stop project-labor agreements (PLAs) so
that small businesses could have equal opportunity to bid for jobs, Herrle said.”

“In addition to his strong
small business background and advocacy, Jolly supports the repeal of the
burdensome Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and passage of a Balanced
Budget Amendment,” said NFIB
Vice President of Political & Grassroots Lisa Goeas
“David Jolly will be a staunch supporter of small businesses as they continue
to create the kinds of jobs Florida needs.”

NFIB’s endorsement is
critical to a candidate’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees
vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family
members and acquaintances to go to the polls.
NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of
the campaign.  NFIB’s political support
is based on the candidates’ positions and voting records on small business

Commemorating its 70th
anniversary, the National Federation of Independent Business is the nation’s
leading small-business association, with offices in Washington, D.C., and all
50 state capitals. Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization,
NFIB gives small- and independent-business owners a voice in shaping the public
policy issues that affect their business. NFIB’s powerful network of grassroots
activists sends its views directly to state and federal lawmakers through our
unique member-only ballot, thus playing a critical role in supporting America’s
free enterprise system.
