NFIB Announces Endorsements in Georgia Senate Runoffs

Date: December 02, 2020

Support from Nation’s Leading Small Business Group to Include Advertising and Grassroots Activity

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Dec. 2, 2020) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today announced the endorsements of United States Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee, made the announcement today as part of an effort that includes advertising, member engagement, and voter education.

“The small business agenda boils down to what happens in the Georgia runoffs. Based on the records and positions of the incumbents and challengers, it is clear these races make the difference in whether small businesses will face higher taxes, or more regulations,” said NFIB Senior National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Senators Perdue and Loeffler have been reliable champions for small businesses in Congress, and we have no doubt they will continue to support pro-small business issues in the Senate.”

NFIB was heavily engaged in the 2020 Georgia elections and will continue with a six-figure advertising and grassroots investment in the runoff elections. This includes a broadcast and digital ad campaign to drive support for Senators Perdue and Loeffler (listen to the ad here), distributing voter guides to thousands of NFIB members, providing grassroots engagement opportunities, and promoting voter education.

“Senators Perdue and Loeffler have a true understanding of the challenges Georgia’s small businesses are facing, especially during these unprecedented times,” said Nathan Humphrey, NFIB’s Georgia State Director. “We are confident they will remain strong and reliable advocates for our state’s small businesses in the Senate, and we are pleased to endorse Senators Perdue and Loeffler today.”

NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation process. Small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in Georgia will work hard to elect David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.
