Governor Lee Joins NFIB, Other Groups in Support of Right-to-Work Amendment

Date: November 22, 2021

NFIB State Director Jim Brown was among the speakers at a Yes on 1 Committee news conference today to announce that Gov. Bill Lee will serve as its honorary statewide chairman.

Yes on 1 is a campaign to promote Amendment 1, which will appear on next year’s general election ballot. If passed, it will cement Tennessee’s position as a right-to-work state. The provision means Tennesseans can’t be forced to join a union or pay union dues to get or keep a job.
“We must stand against D.C. politicians who are trying to take away our right-to-work protections in Tennessee,” said Brown, a member of Yes on 1 Executive Committee. “We appreciate Governor Lee joining us in this important fight.”
