Maryland Small Business Day a Success

Small business owners from across Maryland
gathered in Annapolis on February 12 for Small Business Day. NFIB
Members and
their guests networked, shared ideas and heard from four speakers who
hold
office in Maryland. Attendees also
learned about how they could get more involved with NFIB’s efforts and
pending legislation that could impact their business including; minimum
wage, paid sick leave, regulatory reform, estate “death” tax, the
prevailing wage.

Throughout the day several legislators stopped by to show their support, including Delegate Keiffer Mitchell, Jr. who sits on the House Economic Matters Committee that heard minimum wage the day before.  When the event
adjourned, attendees had the chance to meet their legislators or visit their
offices and speak with legislative staff.

We would like to thank our speakers:
