NFIB Hosts Healthcare Compliance Event in Rutland

The National
Federation of Independent Business Vermont hosted a healthcare seminar
regarding the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in Rutland.

The seminar
presented small business owners with information needed to comply with the
federal healthcare law. Employer responsibilities were highlighted and tips to
prepare business owners were offered. Employers asked several rounds of questions
during the meeting trying to clarify aspects of the law.

Kate Bonner,
NFIB Legislative Affairs Manager in Washington, DC, presented to the crowd
along with Darcie Johnston, of Johnston Consulting.
