WATCH: Here's What Happened at Our VIRTUAL Small Business Day

Date: April 28, 2021

Unable to gather in person because of the pandemic, we held our annual Small Business Day at the Capitol online Monday and Tuesday.

Small Business Day, which is usually held in Tallahassee, gives NFIB members from around the state the chance to learn more about the state and federal issues affecting their businesses.

Speakers at this week’s virtual event included state Rep. Chuck Clemons (21st District), the House Majority Whip. Joining us via video chat, Clemons talked about Senate Bill 50, legislation that addresses the state unemployment trust fund and a tax on business rentals.

Other speakers included Rep. Tom Leek (25th District), chairman of the House Redistricting Committee, who briefed NFIB members on the 2020 Census. Data released on Monday shows the state’s population has grown and will receive one additional congressional seat and one additional vote in the Electoral College.

If you have questions about these or other issues affecting your small business, contact NFIB State Executive Director Bill Herrle at or State Legislative Director Tim Nungesser at
