Tallahassee, FL, August 23, 2018 — NFIB, the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, today announced its full support and endorsement of Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis in his bid for re-election. NFIB announced the endorsement today at Restaurant Equipment World in Orlando.
“Jimmy Patronis has been a steadfast supporter of small business as CFO,” said NFIB’s Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle. “As a small business owner himself, Patronis is well-versed in the issues facing NFIB’s members, and we are confident that he will work to continue to fight for Florida’s small business owners and make the state an even better place to own, operate and grow a business.”
The endorsement was made by the NFIB Florida PAC, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.
“It is a tremendous honor to have the National Federation of Independent Business endorse my campaign. As CFO, I believe that one critical key to a successful state is a robust business community. I will continue fighting to ensure Florida has low taxes and limited regulations, so businesses can expand and thrive in our state,” said CFO Jimmy Patronis.
NFIB is the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, with nearly 10,000 small business owner members in Florida. The NFIB Florida PAC’s endorsement is significant in an important election year. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues.
