Kim Reynolds Receives NFIB Small-Business Endorsement in Race for Governor

Date: September 19, 2018

She is a proven champion of small businesses in Iowa

Des Moines, (Sept. 18, 2018) – The NFIB Iowa PAC announced today it endorsed Kim Reynolds in the race for governor. Reynolds is overwhelmingly supported by the association’s state members, she has an excellent record of supporting small business, and NFIB’s national board has given the endorsement a thumbs up.

“Kim Reynolds is a proven leader when it comes to policies that encourage small-business growth and job creation,” said Matt Everson, NFIB’s state director in Iowa. “She was instrumental in getting the largest tax cut in Iowa history signed into law. We know she will continue to be a champion of small business if elected to a full term.”

NFIB is the leading small-business association in the nation with thousands of members across Iowa, representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from the NFIB IA PAC, the association’s state political action committee, which is comprised of Iowa small-business owners. In addition to her record on small business while in office, a statewide NFIB member ballot showed over 93-percent support for Reynolds.

“I am honored to receive the support of small businesses across the state of Iowa,” said Governor Kim Reynolds. “We fought hard to lower taxes and reduce job-killing regulations so Iowa’s economy could thrive. We have made great progress, but there’s so much more work to do. With the help of the NFIB, we can keep Iowa moving forward.”

Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for NFIB IA PAC-endorsed candidates, including Kim Reynolds in the General Election.
