Gov. Scott Walker Receives NFIB Wisconsin PAC Endorsement in Reelection Bid

Date: October 23, 2018

Support from small businesses around the state

MADISON, Oct. 23, 2018 – The NFIB Wisconsin political action committee, NFIB WI PAC, announced today it has endorsed Governor Scott Walker in his bid for reelection. The endorsement comes after a poll of small-business members in the state, a vote of approval from NFIB’s state PAC Board and its Leadership Council. NFIB’s National Board, made up of small-business owners from around the country, has also given Scott Walker’s endorsement a thumbs up.

“Gov. Scott Walker has a record of solid leadership that demonstrates time and again that he cares about small businesses and he knows how important their success is to the state’s economy,” said Bill G. Smith, state director of NFIB in Wisconsin. “He succeeded in lowering taxes, fees, and reducing the burden of regulations on small businesses during his tenure as governor.”

“I am honored to receive the support of small businesses, and I am proud to have signed into law many pieces of legislation to help Wisconsin’s entrepreneurs succeed,” said Gov. Scott Walker. “As small businesses have grown, they have hired more people. That has led to the highest participation in Wisconsin’s workforce in 2018 than ever before, and employee paychecks are rising. Small business is an economic force employing half of our state’s workers, and they are a crucial part of the state’s economy.”

NFIB, Wisconsin’s leading small-business association, representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from the NFIB WI PAC, the association’s state political action committee, which is comprised of Wisconsin small-business owners.

Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for NFIB WI PAC-endorsed candidates, including Gov. Scott Walker in the General Election.
