Duncan Earns Small Business Endorsement in Lieutenant Governor's Race

Date: October 29, 2018

The NFIB Georgia PAC has endorsed Geoff Duncan for lieutenant governor. The endorsement was announced today at a campaign event at Carter’s Pharmacy, an NFIB member business in Pooler.

The PAC’s endorsement is based on Duncan’s record as a state legislator and position on issues affecting Georgia’s small businesses, NFIB State Director Nathan Humphrey said. The political action committee is comprised solely of NFIB members in Georgia.

“Geoff Duncan has been a strong and consistent advocate for small businesses,” Humphrey said. “He earned a 100% NFIB voting record as a member of the Georgia House and will be a strong advocate for lower taxes, sensible regulations, and a smaller government.
“Geoff Duncan understands that the best way state government can help small businesses grow and create jobs is to stay of their way,” Humphrey said. “That’s why I’m proud to announce the NFIB Georgia PAC’s endorsement of Geoff Duncan for lieutenant governor,” he said.

“This is an exciting endorsement for me because the NFIB gets how hard it is to run a small business and how impactful government overreach is on small business owners,” Duncan said. “I’m a small businessman. My wife and I started our first small business in our living room and grew it to 100-plus employees. We know that small businesses are the backbone of Georgia and I’m going to work every day to lower taxes, reduce regulation, and keep Georgia the No. 1 state for our small business owners.”

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Duncan’s campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to vote. NFIB will encourage its Georgia members to help turn out the powerful small-business voting bloc on Election Day.
