Prosecutor and educator scored 83 percent on NFIB voting record
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 17, 2020—The political action committee for California’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of state Assemblyman Kevin Kiley for re-election to his 6th District seat.
“Kevin Kiley has been a leader in the fight to undo the harm Assembly Bill 5 has done to independent contractors,” said John Kabateck, California state director for NFIB, “and I believe his efforts have helped spur AB 5’s backers to peel back on it and allow more occupations to continue to work as they once did before this needless interruption happened. He’s a proven champion of free enterprise and small business.”
The endorsement of Kiley was made by the NFIB CA PAC and based on six votes taken in the first half of the 2019-2020 session. A minimum 70% was needed for endorsement consideration. Kiley had 83 percent.
Kiley represents the El Dorado County communities of Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills; the Placer County communities of Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Penryn, Rocklin, Roseville, and Sheridan; and the Sacramento County communities of Fair Oaks, Folsom, and Orangevale.
