PHOENIX, Sept. 26, 2018—The political action committee for the voice of small business in Arizona today announced its endorsement of Gov. Doug Ducey for re-election.
“I challenge anyone to point to a better governor for small businesses anywhere in the nation,” said Chad Heinrich, NFIB Arizona’s state director. “Governor Ducey has made nurturing the job-creating potential of small business a priority from his first day in office and has not let up since. From cutting hundreds of needless and burdensome regulations to balancing and prioritizing state spending, he has earned the support of small-business owners. By seeking input from Arizona citizens and job creators, Governor Ducey led the effort to eliminate nearly 700 regulations. Ridding state government of this red tape saves Arizona businesses millions in both direct costs and lost productivity. Further, by tackling a $1 billion budget deficit in his first year—balancing the state budget without a tax increase—he’s been able to streamline government operations and improve on the services provided by many state agencies.”
The endorsement of Ducey was made by NFIB Arizona PAC.
This month’s Small Business Economic Trends Report, the gold standard measurement of Main Street, mom-and-pop enterprises used by the Federal Reserve Board, Congressional leaders, administration officials, and state legislatures across the nation, showed the highest reading of small business optimism in the survey’s 45-year history.
“Too much is going right with Arizona’s economy to turn back now,” said Heinrich. “Governor Ducey’s actions on regulations and state government efficiency have helped lead to greater economic security for all Arizonans while making Arizona an even more attractive state to start and build a business.”
The NFIB Arizona PAC is made up of small-business-owning, NFIB members.
